What We Handle

Common ownership changes we process

Each change type has a specific set of required documents. The online form will walk you through exactly what to attach.

Sale or Assignment

Transferring your mineral interest to a buyer or assignee. Requires the recorded deed and a W-9 for the new owner.

Death of Owner

Transferring interest to heirs after a death. Requires the death certificate and either probate documents or a recorded affidavit of heirship.

Name Change

Updating an owner's name after marriage or divorce. Requires the marriage certificate or divorce decree.

Trust Transfer

Moving an interest into or out of a trust. Requires the recorded conveyance and a Certificate of Trust.

Entity Change

Mergers, dissolutions, or EIN changes for entity owners. Requires the filed entity documents and the IRS CP-575.

Address Change

Updating your mailing address only. Requires only a signed letter from the owner of record — no W-9 needed.

Gathering these items before you start will help your submission move through review without delay.

Your owner number from a recent check stub or Division Order statement.
The recorded copy of any deed, assignment, or conveyance — showing the parish/county clerk's recording stamp.
A current W-9 for any new owner (signed within the last 12 months).
